Update: as reported by Richmond RCMP Aug. 12, the truck driver who was missing has been located.

Richmond RCMP is seeking the public’s help in locating Surinderjit Singh Mattu.

On Aug. 9 it was reported that he failed to show up for work on July 20. He also failed to collect his paycheque two days later and did not pay the August rent for his residence in the 11000 block of Bird Road. His sudden disappearance is out of character, according to friends, family and co-workers.

Mattu, 58, is described as six feet tall, medium build, South Asian and clean shaven with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black T-shirt.

Mattu also has a history of medical issues, and may be disoriented. He may be driving a grey 2002 four-door Honda Civic with BC license plate AN098S.

Anyone with information on Mattu’s possible whereabouts should contact their local police, the Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
