Library hosting free virtual author event

The Richmond Public Library is hosting a free virtual author event to mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The event will take place on Sept. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Award-winning Cree author David A. Robertson for a free virtual presentation and reading from his latest release The Theory of Crows, his first fiction novel written for an adult audience.

Suitable for teens and adults, participants will learn about the inspiration and writing process behind this novel, which features a father-daughter journey that explores the bonds of family and the gifts offered by the land. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions following the presentation.

Book lovers can look forward to an inside perspective on one of the most anticipated Canadian fiction releases of the fall, and aspiring writers will appreciate the storytelling perspectives of an acclaimed author of more than 20 titles for children, teens, and adults.
