Gateway Theatre’s acting and musical theatre camps are returning in-person next month.

Students aged six to 13 are encouraged to register soon, as classes are filling up quickly.

Instructors include Megs Calleja, Isabella Halladay, Magda Ochoa, Darylina Powderface, and Daniela Santi. Musicians Sean Bayntun, Bill Costin, and Nicola Davies will be the accompanists for the musical theatre camps.

The diverse cultural backgrounds of this team bring a wealth of skills in creating, acting, and teaching a theatre art form. The team is ready to share its professional experience and knowledge in music, acting, playwriting, directing, producing, and more. Group members share a passion for wanting to help unlock the creativity and confidence in every student with the magic power and fun of performing arts.

Gateway Academy believes in providing access to theatre arts training regardless of financial means. Families experiencing temporary financial hardship can apply for the bursary program.

Support from the Rotary Club of Richmond helps keep summer camp prices affordable. An upcoming shredding fundraiser, scheduled for June 11 at the Brighouse Park parking lot, will benefit summer camps.
