Missing woman has been found

Richmond RCMP is looking for 21-year-old Shewanie Gounden, who was last seen leaving her residence on Saturday (Oct. 16) and was reported missing the following day.
Richmond RCMP media liaison officer Cpl. Adriana O'Malley says police believe she may be in the Surrey area.
Gounden is described as a South Asian woman, five-foot-one and about 190 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing black jeans, a black hoodie, black shoes and a yellow backpack.
Police are concerned for her health and well-being, and friends and family report that it is out of character for her to be out of contact for this long.
Anyone with information on Gounden’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
