The Richmond Chamber of Commerce is hosting an economic update luncheon early next month.

Pierre Cléroux, the vice-president of research and chief economist of the Business Development Bank of Canada, will join guests and discuss topics including inflation, labour shortages, supply chain issues, and rising interest rates.

The event takes place on Nov. 8 at the Executive Vancouver Airport Hotel (7311 Westminster Hwy.). Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:05 p.m., followed by a keynote address at 12:45 p.m. Attendees can ask their own questions during a moderated fireside chat at 1:10 p.m.

Cléroux has been an economist for 25 years. He and his team analyze economic data to identify business and sector trends impacting Canadian entrepreneurs, and he regularly travels across the country to help business owners understand the risks and opportunities presented by the economic environment.

General admission tickets are $60 plus tax. Tickets for chamber members are $42 plus tax. For more information, visit business.richmondchamber.ca/rcc-events-calendar/Details/economic-update-780658?sourceTypeId=Hub.
