A new aircraft is now making trips in and out of Vancouver International Airport.

The 787 Dreamliner is the newest WestJet aircraft, operating five times weekly between Vancouver and Toronto.

"We are thrilled to welcome WestJet's newest aircraft, the state-of-the-art 787 Dreamliner, to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) for the first time," said the airport’s vice-president of operations and maintenance, Robyn McVicker. "We greatly value our long-time partner WestJet and the introduction of this signature aircraft at YVR is an example of their ongoing investment in British Columbia."

The WestJet Dreamliner has 320 seats in three cabins: business, premium and economy. On Sunday evening the aircraft was greeted with a Musqueam welcome, and departed the airport this morning.
