Police continue to search for missing Richmond resident Feng Qin Zhou, who was reported missing on Nov. 20, 2019.

Zhou, 75, was last seen in the 7000 block of Firbridge Way around 1 p.m. that day. Since then, police say there have been many searches and investigators have followed up on “numerous leads.”

“My heart goes out to Ms. Zhou’s family and I want to assure them we have followed up on every lead, including combing through hours of video surveillance in an effort to locate Ms. Zhou,” says Insp. Michael Cohee, officer in charge of operations support.

“The outpouring of community support at the time was amazing, however, as time passes our avenues of investigation diminish. We are hoping this release may help jog someone’s memory or help us identify new leads.”

Zhou’s daughter Julie Zhang remains hopeful that her mother will be located.

“I believe that Chinese (proverb): ‘God rewards and blesses the good.’ So I believe my mom must be safe somewhere,” says Zhang.

Zhou is described as a five-foot-two Asian woman with brown eyes and white hair. She only speaks Mandarin and was last seen wearing a pink long sleeved shirt, long black hooded coat, black pants and pink shoes. Police said she may appear confused or disoriented.

Anyone who may have information regarding Zhou’s whereabouts is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2019-38195. Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
