Richmond North Centre MLA Teresa Wat will retain her opposition critic role under the BC Liberals’ new leader Kevin Falcon.

Wat was first elected as an MLA in 2013 and then re-elected in 2017 and 2020. Following the 2020 election she was named the official opposition critic for Tourism, Arts and Culture, and Anti-Racism Initiatives.

Falcon, who became the BC Liberal leader on Saturday (Feb. 5), named MLA Shirley Bond as continuing leader of the official opposition. Falcon must contest a seat to officially take his place as leader of the party.
