B.C. reports COVID-19 data from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3

In the past week (Nov. 27 to Dec. 3) there were 539 new COVID-19 cases reported in B.C., bringing the overall total to 390,626 since the pandemic began.
Of the new cases, 134 were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region (including Richmond), 160 in the Fraser Health region, 100 in the Island Health region, 123 in the Interior Health region, and 22 in the Northern Health region.
As of today, there are 359 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in B.C., 34 of whom are in critical care.
There were 140 new hospital admissions in the past week (Nov. 27 to Dec. 3). Of those, 24 were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 47 in the Fraser Health region, 21 in the Island Health region, 38 in the Interior Health region, and 10 in the Northern Health region. According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) report, these numbers are expected to increase as data become more complete.
The number of COVID-19 admissions in the previous week (Nov. 20 to 26) increased to 213 from the 161 originally reported last week.
There were 33 new critical care admissions in the past week (Nov. 27 to Dec. 3). Of those, seven were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, nine in the Fraser Health region, four in the Island Health region, nine in the Interior Health region, and four in the Northern Health region. According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) report, these numbers are expected to increase as data become more complete.
The number of critical care admissions in the previous week (Nov. 20 to 26) increased to 42 from the 34 originally reported last week.
The 30-day all-cause mortality report, which includes COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 related deaths occurring within 30 days from a positive lab result, indicates there were 17 deaths between Nov. 27 and Dec. 3.
Of those who died, zero lived in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, eight in the Fraser Health region, three in the Island Health region, five in the Interior Health region, and one in the Northern Health region. According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) report, these numbers are expected to increase as data become more complete.
The number of COVID-19 deaths in the previous week (Nov. 20 to 26) increased to 42 from the 26 originally reported last week. Deaths the previous week (Nov. 13 to 19) remained the same at 29.
