Twenty-five Richmond Centre residents who have made positive impacts on their community will soon be recognized with awards.
The Richmond Centre Outstanding Constituent Awards program was announced this week by MP Wilson Miao. The intention is to acknowledge residents of the riding who through their selfless commitment, dedication, and hard work have made a difference to others in the community. Fellow Richmond Centre residents will vote on the winners later this month.
“I am proud to have grown up in this riding of Richmond Centre, which I still call home. This community has grown and changed but it has been fortunate to have many selfless and dedicated individuals who give their time, energies, and support which makes a big difference in the lives of neighbours and fellow constituents,” says Miao. “That is why I am excited to have this opportunity to recognize and highlight these special residents of Richmond Centre.”
June 2022 marked the 70th anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and to commemorate this milestone, each of this year’s award winners will receive a specially-designed Platinum Jubilee lapel pin.
The deadline for nominations is Feb. 24. Voting will take place from Feb. 25 through March 10, and awards will be presented on March 18.
