B.C. reports COVID-19 data from Feb. 5 to 11

In the past week (Feb. 5 to 11) there were 341 new COVID-19 cases reported in B.C., bringing the overall total to 395,709 since the pandemic began.
Of the new cases, 83 were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region (including Richmond), 134 in the Fraser Health region, 56 in the Island Health region, 59 in the Interior Health region, and nine in the Northern Health region.
As of today, there are 193 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in B.C., 15 of whom are in critical care.
There were 81 new hospital admissions in the past week (Feb. 5 to 11). Of those, 24 were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 31 in the Fraser Health region, 14 in the Island Health region, eight in the Interior Health region, and four in the Northern Health region. According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) report, these numbers are expected to increase as data become more complete.
The number of COVID-19 admissions in the previous week (Jan. 29 to Feb. 4) increased to 117 from the 88 originally reported last week.
There were 23 new critical care admissions in the past week (Feb. 5 to 11). Of those, seven were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 11 in the Fraser Health region, one in the Island Health region, three in the Interior Health region, and one in the Northern Health region. According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) report, these numbers are expected to increase as data become more complete.
The number of critical care admissions in the previous week (Jan. 29 to Feb. 4) remained at 21, the same as last week’s report.
The 30-day all-cause mortality report, which includes COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 related deaths occurring within 30 days from a positive lab result, indicates there were 13 deaths between Feb. 5 and 11.
Of those who died, two lived in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, seven in the Fraser Health region, none in the Island Health region, four in the Interior Health region, and none in the Northern Health region. According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) report, these numbers are expected to increase as data become more complete.
The number of COVID-19 deaths in the previous week (Jan. 29 to Feb. 4) increased to 25 from the 20 originally reported last week.
