KPU Summer Camp: From the farm to beyond

-
Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is holding our second year of camp in the heart of Richmond at the KPU Farm and campus. After hosting a successful pilot last year, we are offering 2 full weeks of camp for children ages 8 to 12 or going into grades 3 to 7.
Campers will explore a wide range of topics from food systems, natural dyes, design, physics, solar energy, insects and more. This camp is presented by the Sustainable Agriculture department with activities by KPU’s Physics department, the Future Students Office and the Wilson School of Design.
At camp we will explore a variety of concepts that centre food systems and the natural world in an environment of play and curiosity. We will look closely at soil, insects, and food, we will create art with nature, we will learn physics and design concepts, but most of all, we will have fun!
There are two weeks of camp to choose from: July 17 or 21 or July 24 to 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. everyday and $200 fee per week.
