Seeking witnesses or dash cam footage for single vehicle collision

Richmond RCMP are investigating a single vehicle collision resulting in serious injuries.
Shortly before 10:45 p.m on April 4, Richmond RCMP attended the 10000 block of No. 6 Rd for a single vehicle collision.
The vehicle, a black Mercedes, was travelling Southbound on No 6 Rd when it left the road way, striking an embankment and landed straddling the ditch.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle into a water filled ditch. Fortunately, a passerby stopped and rendered assistance.
The driver, and sole occupant, suffered significant injuries. She was transported to a local area hospital by ambulance and remains in critical condition.
Speed and impairment are considered factors in this collision.
Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team have conduct of this investigation.
It remains active and on-going.
Richmond RCMP are asking anyone who was in the area of the 10000 block of No. 6 Rd between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m. who may have seen the vehicle or have dash cam footage to contact Richmond RCMP and quote file number 2024-10558
