How To Vote
The government of British Columbia Legislation Assembly is located in Victoria, BC. There are currently 87-members elected to the Legislative Assembly. The government after the 2020 election had 57 NDP, 28 Liberals and 2 Green Party members currently under NDP Premier David Eby.
The Richmond Sentinel does not offer an opinion of the upcoming election, but it is media’s responsibility to provide voters with information so that they can make an educated decision. We have invited all candidates for a filmed interview so that you can view how each candidate responds to similar questions and why they are running in this election. The video interviews will be posted on richmondsentinel.ca/videos
The key concerns are: Safety in our communities, Healthcare, Decriminalization of drugs, Affordable housing. The candidates shown in the following pages have declared they are NDP, Conservative, Green and Independent or Unaffiliated. With the dismantle of the BC United (formerly BC Liberals) many candidates will continue to run in this election as Independent or Unaffiliated candidates.
Watch for an ‘All Candidates Event’ held in Richmond to see how each of these candidates perform and who is the best candidate to represent your community.
