Richmond City Council is seeking a qualified individual for nomination to the Richmond Tourism Association (Tourism Richmond) Board of Directors—an opportunity to help guide the strategic growth and promotion of Richmond as a premier travel destination.
Tourism Richmond is a non-profit destination marketing organization and the city’s exclusive tourism marketing services provider. Its Board of Directors provides oversight, policy direction, and strategic leadership to strengthen Richmond’s tourism industry.
Ideal candidates will have executive-level experience in sectors such as food and beverage, retail, transportation and travel, attractions or events, accounting, finance, or general business. Strong strategic planning, communication and decision-making skills—along with a commitment to community-wide tourism development—are essential.
Board members attend approximately 10 meetings per year, in addition to committee meetings and tourism industry events. This is a volunteer role and is not compensated, though it offers meaningful opportunities to make tangible impacts on Richmond’s tourism landscape while connecting with industry peers.
Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter outlining how they will contribute to tourism development in Richmond to EconomicDev@richmond.ca by Monday, Nov. 10, 2025.
Questions may also be directed to EconomicDev@richmond.ca. Final selection is expected by Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025.
