Steveston comes to life in Vignettes

Stroll back in time with Steveston Alive!
Walking Tour Vignettes this summer.
Each Saturday in June and July, talented
drama students from Hugh McRoberts Secondary School bring historic Steveston
Village to life in five short plays about living and working here in 1917.
The Steveston Historical Society and the
Steveston Museum are present the tour, now in its second year.
"We're delighted to be bringing these
entertaining and informative stories back to the streets of Steveston this
year. Tours sold out last summer, so be sure to catch this unique show while
you can,” said Linda Barnes, chair of the Steveston Historical Society.
Leaving from the Steveston Museum and Visitor
Centre (3811 Moncton St.), a costumed guide will lead you through the streets
of historic Steveston to view each performance. Tours begin at 1 and 3 p.m.
each Saturday, and are about 60 minutes long, covering just over a kilometre in
length.
Tickets are $10, with children under 12 free
when accompanied by a paying adult (maximum two children per adult). As space
is limited, patrons are asked to book in advance.
The tour is made possible by the support of
GF Financial Group and the City of Richmond.
