The Aussies are making the long trek back to
Richmond.
A men’s and women’s team from Australia
highlights the international lineup at the 19th annual Pacific International
Cup Wednesday (April 11) through Sunday (April 15) at the Richmond Curling
Centre.
They’re being joined by teams from numerous
U.S. states including Alaska, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington,
Minnesota and the Yukon territories as well as a women’s team representing
Singapore.
The event, which aims to promote grassroots
curling around the globe, also doubles as the Travelers Curling Club
Championship British Columbia for teams from around the province. Those clubs
qualified through the B.C. Club Challenge that takes place in six regions around
the province. From those qualifying teams, one women’s and one men’s team
qualifies for the national Travelers Curling Club Championship.
