Hard work, exemplified by tournament MVP Dakota Chan, lifted the Canadian women to a championship at the 2018 Nations Cup.

A year later, the side knows that same level of effort will be needed to realize the same result.

Canada, which also won the title in 2016, put up a defensive wall in its first three games, not allowing a goal against. That included a scoreless draw with Team USA. The solid team play was evident in the final as well, as Canada got by 2017 champion Ireland 3-1.
