Have your say on West Cambie Park

The City of Richmond wants to hear from you.
Entering the second phase of planning for
West Cambie Park, the city is seeking feedback on concept options. Park
planners will be on hand at an open house Saturday, Nov. 25 from 1 p.m. to 4
p.m. on the south side of Tomicki Avenue across the street from the park, which
is located at 9600 Odlin Rd. Information boards will also help explain the
options to the public, while participating in a survey will assist in
developing a preferred plan to be presented to city council in early 2018. Park
construction will happen later in 2018 and 2019.
In addition, from Friday, Nov. 24 through
Sunday, Dec. 17, those interested can visit www.LetsTalkRichmond.ca for current
information on the project, to download documents, and to complete the online
version of the survey. More is also available through the city’s parks
department at 604-244-1208 or at www.richmond.ca/parksprojects.
West Cambie Park is roughly 2.4 hectares (six
acres) and located within the Alexandra neighbourhood. The park will become a
space for local residents to play, meet their neighbours, and enjoy nature.
