Richmond Sentinel Presents: Father's Day "World's Best Dad" Photo Contest

Submit your “World’s Best Dad” photo before 11:59 p.m. on June 14, 2020 for a chance to win a pair of customized MUGS!

Father’s Day is coming soon and Richmond Sentinel is asking YOU to tell us why your father is the WORLD’S BEST DAD!

Prize: The best three photo submissions will each win a pair of customized MUGS with your submitted photo.

First round of photo submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. on June 14, 2020

Second round of photo submission deadline is 3:00 p.m. on June 19, 2020

Winners will be announced on June 22, 2020

Photo Contest Guidelines:

Please provide your contact information along with your submission.

Photo finalists must provide a real name and mailing address when requested, or risk having their photo submissions disqualified.
You must possess the full rights to your submitted photos.
Photos including any of the following will be disqualified: 1) Questionable taste or themes. 2) Alcohol, drugs or related paraphernalia, or sexual content.
Upload a new, recent, or past photo of you and your father with the original pixel size.
Do not scale or change the resolution of the photo; photo resolution must be at least 300 DPI.
Only one submission per person.
We also welcome any submissions that share a story about your father without entering the photo contest.
Limited to Greater Vancouver area in British Columbia, Canada.

Tips to Win:

Your photo should be creative and evoke emotion in readers, accompanied by an interesting story to describe the moment of the photo.

Submission Instructions:

Just follow these steps for a chance to win a prize, but before that, thank your dad!

Option ONE: Submit via Richmond Sentinel Facebook Page

Step 1: Visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TheRichmondSentinel (Remember to “Like” us) and submit your photo by sending us a “message”. Please include your full name, contact number and email along with your submission.

Option TWO: Submit via Email

Step 1: Submit your photo to info@richmondsentinel.ca

Step 2: Tell us the story behind your photo and why your father is the WORLD’S BEST DAD!

Step 3: Richmond Sentinel’s team will review submissions before publishing them to our Facebook page. All photo submissions will include our contest border and be uploaded together in an album on June 15. Any stories shared will be added as an image description. We will also “tag” you in the photo as we upload them to the “World’s Best Dad” Album.

Once your photo is uploaded, please share it with your friends and family to get as many “Likes” as you can!

Release, Publicity, and Privacy Acknowledgement:

By participating in this contest and/or receipt of the prize, if requested, the Prize Winner consents to the use of his or her name, business name and contact information by Richmond Sentinel for advertising and promotional purposes, including but not limited to on Richmond Sentinel social media pages, without any additional compensation, except where prohibited. No entries will be returned. All entries become the property of Richmond Sentinel. The participants agree to release and hold harmless Richmond Sentinel and its officers, directors, employees, affiliated companies, agents, successors and assigns from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the contest.

Richmond Sentinel assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for damaged, lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries; technical, hardware, software, electronic or telephone failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; fraudulent, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Richmond Sentinel, the users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this contest; or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions or downloading, that may limit, delay or prevent an entrant’s ability to participate in the contest.
