Richmond property owners are reminded that property taxes are due on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

property taxes are due on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.
Property owners who have not yet received
their 2019 tax notice can access their account information through the
MyRichmond feature on the City’s website or should call the Tax Department
immediately at 604-276-4145. All property owners are responsible for property
tax payments and applicable penalties, regardless of whether or not a tax
notice is received.
If taxes are not paid by July 2, 2019, a five
per cent penalty will be charged on all current taxes outstanding. The penalty
will also be applied to the amount of any eligible Home Owner Grant unclaimed.
A further five per cent penalty will be charged on all outstanding tax amounts
after September 3, 2019.
Payments can be:
• Made online via credit card (service
charges apply) or by registering at MyRichmond.
• Made online or in person through your
financial institution. Please allow for a minimum of two business days for
payments to process.
• Placed in the drop box at the north west
entrance to City Hall after work hours.
• Placed in the blue drop box in Richmond
City Hall during work hours (8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
• Made in-person at the Cashier Counter at
Richmond City Hall. Cash, cheque, credit and debit payments are accepted by the
cashiers. Due to the volume of tax payers, wait times may be long. The
City will not accept cash payments of $10,000 or greater.
• Mailed to the City of Richmond Tax
Department, 6911 No. 3 Road, Richmond BC, V6Y 2C1. Postmarks are not accepted
as the payment date. Penalties will be applied on late payments received by
mail.

Log on to view your property tax notice, account balances, payment history,
utility bill, consumption history, subscription for e-billing and more.
Home owners who are eligible for the
Provincial Home Owner Grant must claim by the due date. The Home Owner Grant
must be completed every year, if you are eligible, and may be claimed even if
no tax payment is made.
• Grants may be completed securely online at www.richmond.ca/homeownergrant.
Enter the folio number and access code found on the property tax notice,
complete the grant and submit. A confirmation number will be provided instantly
– please retain this as a receipt of the application.
• Alternatively, the grant application on the
bottom of the property tax notice may be completed in full and returned to the
Tax Department by the due date.
