More than 2,600 people have already signed up to receive assistance from the Richmond Christmas Fund this year. But with the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in the cancellation or scaling back of many regular fundraising events, the Christmas Fund team has had to be inventive.

Their A Not So Silent Night fundraiser, held for the past two years at the Richmond Auto Mall, has been replaced this year by A Not So Isolated Night, an online auction that will go live at 9 a.m. next Thursday (Nov. 26). Through 6 p.m. on Dec. 1, people can bid on close to 150 items donated by local businesses and supporters.

Items include:

• gift cards to local restaurants and cafés

• tools and electronics

• auto detailing packages

• rounds of golf

• bottles of wine

• appliances

The auction is currently in preview mode, meaning people can browse items and sign up for an online account here. All proceeds will benefit the Christmas Fund.
