Richmond Community Foundation Scholarships

The Richmond Community Foundation offers scholarships for high school students and adults.

The online scholarship application forms will be made available in January 2018 at richmondfoundation.org.

High School Scholarships

Derek Dang and Dr. Margaret Yeung Scholarship

The Derek Dang and Dr. Margaret Yeung Scholarship supports graduating Richmond students pursuing a post-secondary education in academics or trades.

Value: $500

Etta Demerse Scholarship

The Etta Demerse Scholarship provides assistance to graduating Richmond high school students attending UBC, SFU, or Langara. Scholarships from this Fund often support nursing students.

Value: $400 - $500 (multiple)

Kronier Family Scholarship

The Kronier Family Scholarship provides assistance to graduating Richmond high school students pursuing a post-secondary education in any field.

Value: $1,000 (multiple)

Michael Diston Memorial Scholarship

The Michael Diston Memorial Scholarship provides funding to graduating Richmond high school students pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or vocational/technical training.

Value: $500 - $750 (multiple)

Phyllis Brenton-Taylor Scholarship

The Phyllis Brenton-Taylor Scholarship supports students of British, Scottish, or Irish descent who reside in Richmond, will be attending a post-secondary institution, and show significant musical or performing arts talent.

Value: $1,000

RichCity Idol Scholarship

The RichCity Idol Scholarship supports graduating Richmond high school students pursuing a post-secondary education in the performing arts.

Value: $200 (multiple)

Richmond Sunset Rotary Club Scholarship

The Richmond Sunset Rotary Club Scholarship provides assistance to graduating Richmond high school students who are pursuing a degree in Arts.

Value: $500 (multiple)

Steveston Community Society Scholarship

The Steveston Community Society Scholarship provides assistance to Steveston residents who are graduating high school and pursuing post-secondary studies.

Value: $1,000 (multiple)

Thompson Community Association Phil Brown Scholarship

The Thompson Community Association Phil Brown Scholarship supports post-secondary studies for graduating Richmond high school students who have contributed to the Thompson Community Association and/or the community.

Value: $500 - $1,000

Adult Education Scholarships

Dr. Bud Sipko Family Scholarship

The Dr. Bud Sipko Family Scholarship supports students in dental hygiene and dentistry programs, either at UBC or Vancouver Community College.

Value: $500 - $1,000

Ethel Tibbits Scholarship

The Ethel Tibbits Scholarship supports mature women pursuing education that will enable them to enter the workforce or upgrade their skills to better support their families.

Value: $500 - $1,000
