Richmond Public Library has revealed its No. 1 book of 2020: Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls, by Dav Pilkey.

Every year library staff count and tally the lists of the most popular print books, ebooks and DVDs of the year. And 2020 is no different.

The library’s catalogue has book lists with direct links, allowing library card holders to sign out the books or to place a hold if all copies are currently checked out.

The library will be sharing these lists one at a time on its Facebook page until New Year's Eve, when it reveals the most popular title of 2020.

“Our goal is to inspire people to read over the holidays and cozy up with one or more of the year’s most popular reads,” says the library's co-ordinator of marketing and public relations Stephanie Vokey.
