A man has died of his injuries following a shooting in Steveston on Thursday night.
Richmond RCMP responded to reports of shots heard in a park in the area of Moncton Street and No. 1 Road about 8:30 p.m. When police arrived they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, upon which he was rushed to hospital.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team will be taking conduct of the file in partnership with the Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit and Watch General Investigative Services.
The area around the park was cordoned off for the police investigation.
