The man reported by Richmond RCMP as missing earlier today has been located.

Sadly, 85-year-old Chung Yue Lee has passed away.

According to an RCMP release, next-of-kin have been notified and the BC Coroners Service has been contacted. Police continue to investigate the circumstances, but foul play does not appear to have been a factor at this time.

Previously, Richmond RCMP were seeking assistance in locating Lee, who was reported missing last night after failing to arrive for a scheduled lunch with his daughter at Richmond Centre. He apparently left his home in the 6200 block of Blundell Road around 11 a.m. Lee suffered from dementia and hypertension.

Anyone with information on this matter is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at (604) 278-1212.

If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. (1-800-222-8477).
