With the holiday season fast approaching, local malls are gearing up for an influx of kids hoping to share gift wishes with Santa.

At Lansdowne Centre, Santa will also visit with local kids. Pre-booking an appointment is required, which aims to eliminate queuing. Santa and visitors will be positioned a short distance apart, and masks are required until right before the photo is taken at which point people can remove their mask for the shot.

Santa will also visit Aberdeen Centre starting on Nov. 27, with 10-minute bookings available online for a small charge. Masks are mandatory, as is proof of vaccination for those aged 12-plus. Physical distancing is required.

CF Richmond Centre is also offering opportunities to meet with Santa, but at the time of publication Santa slots are full.

However, families who prefer a virtual experience can join two Storytime with Santa events on Dec. 4 and 8, with the big guy reading holiday stories by Canadian authors.
