B.C. health officials reported 689 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday. Since the pandemic began, B.C. has recorded 352,728 cases.

The numbers of new and total cases are provisional due to a delayed data refresh, according to a B.C. government news release.

Of the new cases, 166 are in the Vancouver Coastal Health region (including Richmond), 213 in the Fraser Health region, 102 in the Island Health region, 150 in the Interior Health region, 58 in the Northern Health region, and no new cases of people who reside outside of Canada.

Sadly, there were 14 new COVID-related deaths reported since Friday, bringing that total to 2,946. Three reported deaths were removed from the total due to a data correction. Of those who died, five lived in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, seven in the Fraser Health region, and two in the Interior Health region.
