Richmond RCMP is investigating following a report of a suspicious circumstance at a local business.
The complainant said she was in a parent monitoring room of a business, located in the 14000 block of Triangle Road, when she observed a man allegedly pulling down a young child’s pants. The complainant viewed the incident through a television, which cycles through surveillance footage from various cameras located throughout the business.
The complainant said it was dark and there were lasers operating, so she could not provide a detailed description of those involved. She reported the incident to staff who immediately turned on the lights and attended the area but did not see anything suspicious.
The incident took place on March 14 sometime between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. It was reported to police by the complainant at 9:24 p.m. that day.
An initial review of video surveillance of the area where the incident is believed to have occurred has been conducted, but nothing suspicious was observed.
“This is a very serious allegation and we are doing everything we can to attempt to identify those involved,” says Cpl. Adriana O’Malley.
Richmond RCMP are continuing to work with the complainant. The business is fully cooperating with the police investigation and providing any evidence that could assist.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
