With the deadline for filing personal income tax returns coming up on April 30, Richmondites with low income can take advantage of assistance services available through some community organizations.
Those with an annual income of $35,000 or lower, $35,000 to 37,500 with one child, and families with a dual annual income of $45,000 or lower are eligible for help. People should bring valid government-issued photo identification and all relevant documents including T4, T5 and Canada Child Benefit slips.
Whether or not you earned income in 2020, filing your taxes ensures you will receive all of the Canadian tax system benefits and credits.
