Police seeking witnesses, dash cam footage after collision

Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is seeking witnesses and dash cam footage for a single-vehicle collision.

Police arrived near the Westminster and Annacis Island off-ramp from Highway 91 around 12:23 a.m. last Saturday (May 21). A black 2011 Acura allegedly went off the roadway and collided with a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver was transported to hospital and later released.

Richmond RCMP CCIT is looking for witnesses or dash cam footage from the area on Highway 91 between 11:45 p.m. on May 20 and 12:30 a.m. on May 21. The black Acura was traveling eastbound at the time of the collision.

Both speed and impairment are being investigated as possible contributing factors.
