Richmond RCMP is hoping to identify a woman who was found deceased in early May.
Police attended a marina in the 6900 block of Graybar Road, along the south arm of the Fraser River in east Richmond, on May 2. A woman had been located deceased on an older 40-foot yacht which was in dry dock at the marina.
Since then, Richmond RCMP and the BC Coroners Service have been working to identify her without success. They are releasing a composite sketch of the woman in hopes that someone will recognize her.
She is described as a Caucasian woman who was 30 to 40 years old when she died. She was about 165 centimetres tall (five-foot-five) and weighed about 41 kilograms (90 pounds). She had brown eyes; shoulder length, curly dark hair; and was missing teeth on the upper left side of her mouth. She was last wearing a purple or dark blue sweater with gold threading (pictured below).

“We are hoping that by releasing this sketch, a family member, friend, or acquaintance will be able to help us identify her,” says Cpl. Ian Henderson. “It is important that we find her next-of-kin, so they can be properly notified of her passing.”
At this time, the woman’s death is not considered suspicious.
Anyone who may recognize this woman is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2022-11448. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit them online at www.solvecrime.ca.
