Richmond community centres offering dozens of free activities

Join the fun, get active, and connect with other community members with dozens of fun, free, and creative activities at City of Richmond community centres. 

Community Connects Week runs from Sept. 6 to 11 with in-person and online activities for all ages found at richmond.ca/connects.

Pre-registered and drop-in Try-It programs and activities at eight community centres include: 

• Bollywood dancing (55-plus years);

• Character design and visual storytelling (nine to 15 years)

• Customer merch design (10 to 16 years)

• Burkeville Farmers Market (all ages)

• Preschool open houses

• Fitness centre orientations (13 to 15 years)

• Family jazz dancing (all ages)

• Multisport (six to eight years)

• STEM demonstration (all ages)

• Online Total Body Conditioning (18-plus years)

• Online senior strength fitness (55-plus years)

Live performances and special events including the Harvest Full Moon Celebration and Hamilton Night Out Movie in the Park are also happening.

Community Connects Week is a great way to meet neighbours and experience the many fun, creative, and recreational programs and services available at Richmond’s community centres. All the Community Connects Week programs and activities are free of charge. Register early, as spots are limited.

Participation in community centre activities offers several benefits including increased happiness, improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and the development of stronger, more connected communities.
