Police investigating overnight shootings

Police are investigating following a shooting last night in Richmond.
Richmond RCMP officers responded to the 8000 block of Sunnymede Crescent (near Blundell and No. 3 roads) last night (Oct. 2) shortly after 11 p.m., after the sounds of gunfire were apparently heard.
Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One was transported to hospital while the other was pronounced deceased.
While it is still early in the investigation, this incident appears to be targeted according to police.
The surrounding area will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time while the incident is investigated by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
