The City of Richmond is beginning its process to renew the playground at the popular South Arm Park and is seeking input from Richmond residents. The public is invited to attend one of two drop-in style open houses or complete an online feedback form to share ideas and learn about the planning process for the park playground.

The open house sessions will include activities for all ages, information boards, refreshments and more. Parks department staff will be in attendance to answer questions.

The open houses will take place at the South Arm Community Centre located at 8880 Williams Road in Richmond on:

  • Thursday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 28 from noon to 3 p.m.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 26, the public may also visit LetsTalkRichmond.ca to view the display boards and complete the online feedback form. The deadline to submit feedback is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Input received will inform the development of a concept plan for renewal of the playground. Construction is expected to begin in 2020.
