Spring officially arrives Friday, but with schools already in the midst of their annual two-week break now is the time to find an activity to immerse in.

Richmond and its community partners have more than 20 single-day and ongoing programs, including fun-filled day camps and drop-in programs for all ages to choose from through March 31. Visit city's websitefor all the details.

The variety of indoor and outdoor fun includes:

• Skating in the dark under super cool lighting during cosmic skating sessions at Minoru Arenas

• Experimenting with media arts during drop-in sessions at the Richmond Media Lab

• Meet author Julia Nobel and join her writing workshop at Richmond Public Library’s Brighouse branch

• Get out and play in one of the city’s many parks including the Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment

• Go swimming at Watermania or Minoru Aquatic Centre

• Join an day camp through your local community centre or Richmond Olympic Oval

• View Adad Hannah: The Decameron Retold, an immersive art exhibition featuring the Canadian artist’s work

• Take an hour to be part of the naturalist-led tour of the Richmond Nature Park

Have fun exploring Richmond and all it has to offer.
