Police investigating serious two-vehicle accident

Police are investigating after a car accident that happened on Sunday (Dec. 4).

Richmond RCMP officers responded to the area of Minoru Boulevard and Lansdowne Road shortly after 3 p.m. that day after receiving reports of a collision between a Ford subcompact car and a Jeep SUV.

The driver of the Ford, an 85-year-old man from Richmond was uninjured. The driver of the Jeep, a 62-year-old man from Richmond, sustained serious injuries and was unconsciousness prior to being transported to hospital. Each vehicle had an additional occupant, and both were uninjured.

Richmond RCMP is actively investigating this collision. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor.
