Just six weeks after retired Richmond fisherman Joseph Katalinic netted the biggest haul of his life—a record $60 million Lotto Max jackpot—lottery fever is again sweeping the province.

The Lotto Max jackpot for the Friday, Oct. 4 Lotto Max draw climbs to a whopping $65 million. In addition, an estimated eight Maxmillion prizes will also be offered. All told, that’s $74 million in prizes to be won.

Should the $65 million jackpot go unclaimed after the Oct. 4 draw, the next Lotto Max draw on Tuesday,

Oct. 8 will be a record-setting $70 million: the largest jackpot ever offered in Canada. This new, higher jackpot is one of many Lotto Max enhancements introduced in May 2019.

British Columbians have claimed over $181 million in Lotto Max prizes so far in 2019, including the $60 million jackpot won in Richmond in July and a $25.9 million jackpot won in Merritt in February.
