The Richmond Women's Resource Centre's annual International Women's Day Celebration brought the Richmond community together on Saturday, March 4, at Lipont Gallery.

A diverse and enthusiastic volunteer team committed to the cause, collaboratively planned the 2023 International Women's Day Celebration and Auction along with the Board and staff to raise much needed funds to keep the Richmond Women's Resource Centre's doors open.

They are all still hard at work, as the over 100 auction prizes brought to the celebration for viewing on this special day, remain open for bids online until March 18, 2023.

The community has raised approximately $10,000 for the Richmond Women's Resource Centre during this time and this amount is expected to grow throughout the month as people continue to participate in the online auction and to send in donations.

President Tammi Belfer delivered a message of thanks and gratitude that the Richmond Women's Resource Centre continues after 47 years to be a place of new beginnings for the women they serve.

She and the board of the Richmond Women's Resource Centre are humbled that people everywhere are getting involved and contributing to this vitally important nonprofit organization in Richmond.
