Capulet Art Gallery & Framing is thrilled to announce the opening of Electric Wild, a solo exhibition by acclaimed Japanese-Canadian artist Taka Sudo. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the gallery, located at 150-2288 No. 5 Road, Richmond, BC. A live artist talk will take place at 3 p.m., hosted by curator and design strategist Sigrid Gong.

Electric Wild explores the high-voltage intersection of urban graffiti, abstract expressionism, and Japanese calligraphy. Sudo’s layered, neon-charged works reflect the fragmented rhythm of contemporary life — a balance of chaos and clarity, emotion and motion. The exhibition features all-new works created for this show.

Taka Sudo has exhibited internationally in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Vancouver, with mural and design collaborations for major brands including Nike, Amazon, and Gigantic Brewing. His work has been featured in leading arts publications such as Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, and No Cure Magazine.

Guests at the opening will enjoy complimentary drinks, early access to the exhibition, and the opportunity to engage with the artist directly. Limited edition signed prints will be available for pre-purchase.

Capulet Art Gallery & Framing is a contemporary art space in North Richmond dedicated to showcasing innovative Canadian artists through exhibitions, artist talks, and framing services. The gallery has built a reputation for connecting artists with collectors and the local creative community.

Electric Wild will run from May 24 to June 21, 2025. Admission is free and all are welcome.
