On Sept. 14, 2025, Canadians from close to 550 communities across the country will participate in the 45th Terry Fox Run, continuing Terry’s dream of a world without cancer by raising critical funds for life-changing cancer research in Canada.
What: Terry Fox Run-Richmond
Date: Sunday Sept. 14, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. (register online or register in person starting at 9 a.m.)
Location: Garry Point Park, Steveston
This year, approximately 3.7 million Canadians are expected to participate in the annual fundraiser, either with their local community or school.
This year’s Terry Fox Run is a signature event in a year-long celebration marking the 45th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope. To honour this milestone, the Terry Fox Foundation launched several exciting initiatives including a commemorative merchandise collection, the national Ride of Hope, the release of a new picture book T is for Terry: An ABC of Courage, the announcement of a new documentary Run Terry Run, the reissue of the iconic Adidas Orion shoe Terry wore in 1980, and a reimagined version of “Courage” by The Tragically Hip on a limited-edition vinyl 45.
The Terry Fox Foundation is at the forefront of charitable organizations leading the fight against cancer in Canada, having raised over $950 million to fund life-changing research enabled by the Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI). TFRI recently launched the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network (MOHCCN), a powerful collective uniting 35 of the country’s top cancer hospitals, research universities, and health authorities to accelerate precision oncology.
Canadians are encouraged to register, fundraise, and participate in the Terry Fox Run to make an impact on cancer research and to continue sharing how they will honour Terry’s legacy on social media using #TerryFoxRun and tagging @terryfoxfoundation.
