The BC government is starting to formulate a 2021 budget—and wants public input.

This year, as people, communities and businesses begin to rebuild after the COVID-19 pandemic, input is especially important. British Columbians have several options for giving virtual feedback.

A survey, open until 5 p.m. June 26, provides the opportunity to submit ideas for the 2021 budget: https://consultations.leg.bc.ca/Submission/Create?cons=Budget2021. Written, audio or video submissions will also be accepted.

Public hearings will take place via video and teleconference on various dates between June 1 and 24, grouped into small themed panels.

For information on how to participate in the consultation process, visit: https://bcleg.ca/FGSbudget
Or contact the Parliamentary Committees Office at 250 356-2933 or 1 877 428-8337 (toll-free in BC).

“This consultation is your opportunity to tell your story, share your ideas and outline your priorities for the future of our province. The road ahead is not without its challenges, but we will stand the test and build a better future together,” said Finance Minister Carole James.
