This year’s Doors Open Richmond celebrations are happening virtually starting June 6.

A collaboration between the Richmond Museum Society and the city, the event encourages people to learn about the city through places of worship, cultural centres, local businesses, museums, heritage sites and civic spaces.

Behind-the-scenes footage and other exclusive content will be posted between June 6 and 13, giving viewers a look into sites’ operations, employees, and interesting attractions, artifacts or products. Participating sites include BC Emergency Health Services Station 269, Richmond East Catholic Church and city hall council chambers.

There are more than 15 new sites this year, including Gateway Theatre, Richmond RCMP, Yuu Japanese Tapas, Lamajoun Armenian Restaurant, Scotch Pond and Lulu Island Winery.

Online content will be posted on the Richmond Museum’s Facebook (@RichmondMuseum), Twitter (@Richmond_Museum) and Instagram (@RichmondMuseum) pages, with the hashtag #DoorsOpenOnline.
