Building supplier endeavouring to help local restaurants to re-open

Richmond Building Supplies is endeavouring to help local restaurants re-open.
On the heels of the city's recent introduction of an expedited patio application process to help businesses quickly obtain necessary approvals, Richmond Building Supplies is offering patio and decking material to local, independent restaurants for the next three months at cost. Additionally, it is waiving its usual $95 delivery fee.
“Like all local businesses, we’ve been working hard to adapt to these challenging times; we are grateful that with the support of our loyal staff and customers, we’ve been able to weather what we hope is the worst of the economic storm," says company director Tom Niebuhr. “As the Richmond economy starts to open up again, we wanted to do all we can to help other local businesses begin their recovery."
“We also asked our local suppliers of leading composite decking brands like Trex, Fiberon, and Timbertech/Azek to agree to a concessionary pricing program for COVID-19 impacted businesses in Richmond, and all of them immediately agreed,” says general manager Mike Vincent. “This will potentially bring an additional five to 15 per cent in savings to those local restaurants looking to reopen with new or larger patios.”
For restaurants looking for a cedar patio solution—whether decking or fencing—the company will be partnering with Still Creek Forest Products to provide “mill pricing” on their cedar orders.
