Richmond RCMP is seeking witnesses to a fatal crash that happened July 11.

The collision between a semi-truck and black Chevrolet Corvette took place around 6:30 a.m. in the 7200 block of Nelson Road, according to an RCMP release.

The Corvette was travelling southbound on Nelson Road from Westminster Highway when it collided with the truck, resulting in catastrophic damage to the car. The male driver of the Corvette, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
