Cosom hockey donation thank-you to Burnett
J.N. Burnett secondary has been home to
Richmond Cosom Floor Hockey for many years. And as way to say thank you, the
association annually gives back to the school.
A donation of $1,000 along with two sets of
full goalie gear was presented to school officials April 15. This followed the
conclusion of the 2017-18 hockey season.
“Burnett gym has been the venue of our league’s
games over the years, and we have chosen them as our beneficiary,” said
promotions co-ordinator Lanie Man. “We also wanted to contribute to the
development of sports and physical activity of the students.”
Burnett principal Wennie Walker is equally
bullish on promoting physical education, and on the cosom floor hockey group.
“Burnett likes to support cosom hockey and
keeping our kids active outside of school,” she said.
