The site offers accessible content for viewers of all ages. Year-to-date stats, awareness campaigns, fire prevention tips and career information are just a few things viewers will find at firerescue.richmond.ca.

"Our goal in launching this new website is to provide Richmond community members such as residents, schools and local businesses with an informative, user-friendly experience," says fire chief Tim Wilkinson. "The website has an engaging visual design enabling visitors to navigate the site quickly, with information and education at their fingertips.”

Other areas of the website include:

• Kids educational and activity zone

• Fire safety and prevention tips and Q&A

• Fire regulation codes, permits and bylaw information

• Specific information for newcomers, rental properties and homeowners

• The fire department’s history, including photos

The website offers users the opportunity to access all content in multiple languages via Google Translate. It is designed for both mobile and desktop viewing.

Feedback on the website can be provided through the website’s Contact page or by emailing fire@richmond.ca.
