Losing a loved one is challenging at any time, but the COVID-19 pandemic adds more complications to the death care process.
The Government of Canada has created a guidance document for death care services during the pandemic. The document was created by the Public Health Agency of Canada, Canadian public health and experts in related fields.
It provides more information on:
• Loved ones
• Funeral homes
• Cemeteries
• Crematorium operators
• Medical examiners
• Coroners
• Medical personnel
• People who may handle dead bodies infected with COVID-19 in far away or isolated communities
