Following the successful inaugural launch of the new Environmental Enhancement Grant, the City of Richmond is once again inviting all environmental enthusiasts to apply in a new round of intakes.

This second round will include the opportunity for non-profit organizations to apply for a $2,500 grant for environmental-based projects, and will also allow individuals to apply for a maximum of $500 to support grassroots projects.

Individuals and organizations wishing to apply can do so through May 18.

The Environmental Enhancement Grant provides financial support to individuals and registered non-profit organizations for action-based projects that have measurable, positive outcomes on the environment in Richmond, such as shoreline clean-ups, invasive species pulls, and tree and shrub planting. Projects must be inclusive and focus on initiatives that contribute to the enhancement, restoration or conservation of Richmond’s unique island natural environment.

Questions about the Environmental Enhancement Grant may be directed to 604-247-4453 or parksprograms@richmond.ca.
