‘A Not So Silent Night’ raises record funds

The Richmond Christmas Fund's 2022 A Not So Silent Night reception and auction campaign set new fundraising records.
The final amount raised at the gala reception and auction, held at the Porsche Centre Richmond, was $110,895—surpassing the fundraising goal of $100,000. The outpouring of generosity has helped create a better, brighter, and more enjoyable holiday season for community members in need.
This year, the Christmas Fund provided grocery vouchers to 2,820 residents, more than a 20 per cent increase from 2021. In addition, 857 children received toys and books, and 309 teenagers were given gift cards.
During times of inflation, when the basic cost of everything is going up, community members’ giving spirits have made it possible for over 1,000 households to experience the magic of a holiday celebration.
